From routine servicing to complex faults, I’ve got you covered: scheduled servicing, oil changes, air-conditioning, timing belts, brakes, exhaust repairs, transmission work, and electrical/electronic diagnostics.

Volkswagen • Audi • Porsche • Škoda — Specialist Services

European vehicles are my specialty. I’ve built Bay European around Volkswagen, Audi, Porsche and Škoda, and I take a diagnostic-first approach—because with European engineering, the details matter.

Over the years I’ve invested in state-of-the art European diagnostic equipment, trusted parts suppliers, and up-to-date technical information to service and repair these vehicles correctly. That means less guesswork, better outcomes, and a car that leaves running right.

If something doesn’t go to plan, I front it and fix it. You’ll get straight advice, quality workmanship, and a job I’m proud to put my name on.

General Car Servicing

Volkswagen • Audi • Porsche • Škoda — Specialist Services

I offer a full range of servicing, diagnostics and repairs for European vehicles—especially Volkswagen, Audi, Porsche and Škoda. From routine maintenance to complex faults, I take a diagnostic-first approach and use the correct specifications, parts and procedures for your car.

Air Conditioning

If your AC isn’t cold, smells musty, or your demister is slow, I can diagnose the system and carry out servicing, leak checks, regas and component repairs. Cabin filter checks/replacement are also part of keeping airflow clean and effective.

Alternator Repair

If you’re seeing battery warnings, dim lights, or intermittent electrical issues, I can test the charging system and repair or replace the alternator as required—so you’re not left stranded.

Automatic Transmission Servicing

Transmission issues often start with fluid condition, leaks or incorrect service history. I can inspect, diagnose and service automatic transmissions (including fluid/filter servicing where applicable) to support smoother shifting and long-term reliability.

Battery replacement

Weak batteries cause slow starts and electrical gremlins. I’ll test the battery and charging system, then replace with the correct battery spec for your vehicle if needed.

Brake Repairs

Brakes should feel predictable and confident. If you’ve got noise, vibration, pulling, or a warning light, I can inspect and repair pads, rotors, sensors and brake fluid, and make sure everything is operating safely.

Clutch & Gearbox Repairs

If you’re experiencing slipping, shuddering, hard shifting or unusual noises, I’ll diagnose the cause first, then carry out the right repair—whether that’s clutch work, linkage issues, or gearbox-related faults.

Electronic Faults

European vehicles rely heavily on sensors and control modules. I specialise in diagnosing engine lights, ABS, airbag faults and warning messages using the right diagnostic tools and a methodical process.

Electrical Repairs

Electrical issues can be intermittent and frustrating. I can trace faults properly—from batteries and alternators through to wiring, switches, modules and charging issues—so the fix lasts.

Oil Change

Oil isn’t “one oil fits all” in European vehicles. I use the correct oil specification and filter for your engine and service schedule to protect performance and longevity.

Radiator & Cooling System Repairs and Servicing

Overheating can cause expensive damage fast. I can inspect and repair radiators, hoses, thermostats, water pumps and leaks, and service the cooling system to keep temperatures stable.

Suspension Repairs

Worn suspension affects handling, comfort and tyre wear. I can diagnose and repair bushes, shocks/struts, control arms, mounts and related components to restore ride quality and control.

Timing Belt Replacement

Timing belts are critical maintenance on many European engines. If yours is due, I’ll replace it to the correct interval and procedure to help prevent serious engine damage.

Timing Chain Replacement (where applicable)

Some engines use timing chains rather than belts. If you’re hearing chain noise, seeing fault codes, or suspect timing-related issues, I can diagnose chain wear/tensioner problems and advise the right repair path.

Wheel Alignment

If your car pulls, steering feels off-centre, or you’re seeing uneven tyre wear, an alignment can make a big difference. I offer proper wheel alignment and will check for underlying suspension wear that could be causing the issue.

European Specialist Car servicing

European vehicles aren’t one-size-fits-all. Different models, engines, and years have different service requirements—and with European engineering, the details matter.

I’m Terry Hart, Owner and Senior Technician at Bay European. I specialise in Volkswagen, Audi, Porsche and Škoda, and I service vehicles the way they’re meant to be serviced: to the correct specifications, with the correct parts and procedures, so they run as designed.

I’ve spent the past 21 years investing in training, diagnostic equipment, and specialist tooling for European vehicles. Earlier in my business, Bay European was a factory service agent for Citroën, Alfa Romeo and Fiat, which helped shape the standard I work to today. Many of my customers come through recommendations and referrals, and I don’t take that trust lightly.

Serviced to Manufacturer Specifications

European engines are sensitive to the details—oil specifications, filters, fluids, and correct service processes. I follow manufacturer specs because that’s what protects reliability, performance, and long-term value.

Maintenance That Prevents Expensive Repairs

Regular servicing and timely repairs are the best way to avoid preventable problems down the track. As a general guide, many vehicles benefit from servicing around every 12 months or 15,000 km, but the right interval depends on the vehicle, service history, and how it’s driven.

Advanced Diagnostics & Fault Finding

Modern European cars can mask issues until they become expensive. Warning lights, drivability problems, and intermittent electrical faults need more than guesswork. I use professional diagnostic equipment and a methodical approach to find the real cause—so the repair is accurate and the result lasts.

European Specialist Services

Every car is different and this is true even more so for European car brands. You can relax knowing that your vehicle is in safe hands and will be looked after as the manufacturer intended.

We have spent the last 13 years investing in training, technology and building on our experience in repairing European vehicles. We were factory service agents for Citroen, Alfa Romeo and Fiat this added to our teams skills and experience, and established us as the Bays European car specialists. Bay European is committed to providing a real option to the factory dealer networks. Our team has grown as a result of our fantastic customers recommendations and referrals.

Euro Spec Services

Different European models have different servicing intervals. Some more frequent than others and each service. We can service your  European vehicle to make sure it keeps working the way it was designed to. Our mechanics have years of experience, diagnostic and mechanical training, special tooling and access to a world wide knowledge based information system.

Car servicing is a systemised process which is unique to you and how you use your car.  However we recommend 12 month or 15000 km service intervals for Diesel and Petrol motors. It’s important to use the correct oils filters and products are used. We use manufactures specifications to make sure your car is looked after correctly.

Electronic Diagnostics

Electronic controlled systems in your car even if it is 10 years old are very sophisticated and at times difficult to diagnose and repair.  Here at Bay European we have top of the line scan tool and scope technologies to help diagnose and repair issues as they arise. They are not magic wands but you can’t do the job with out them. We invest every year in equipment and training to keep up with the fast changing world we live in. Your car will be in good hands and every repair carries the Bay European guarantee.

“Great service and excellent work on my car. Would be happy to recommend to anyone.”

Tyres & Wheel Alignment

We’ve always believed in doing things properly—keeping you safe, giving you straight advice, and making sure your money is well spent. I work hard for my reputation, and I respect the fact you work hard for your money too.

Wheel Alignment

Wheel alignment has a real impact on handling, safety, and tyre wear. Modern roads are tough on suspension, and even small knocks can push alignment out over time.

If your car pulls, feels unsettled, or you’re seeing uneven tyre wear, I can check and correct the alignment. As a general guide, an alignment check every 6 months can be worthwhile depending on your mileage and the roads you drive—but I’ll always advise what’s sensible for your vehicle and use.

An alignment done at the right time can save tyres from wearing out early—which saves money and reduces waste.
